By concentrating these organizations in a collaborative ecosystem, the PBC fosters partnerships that accelerate the translation of discoveries into improved patient outcomes.

<div class="ExternalClassFA90ABBC5EC34A2085F99D49B7130461"><h1></h1><h1>Driving Translational Discovery<br></h1><div><br></div><p>Discovery accelerates, companies scale and collaboration drives real-world breakthrough innovation and impact on Phoenix’s 30-acre urban life sciences campus in Downtown Phoenix. It is home to the highest concentration of research scientists and complementary research professionals in the region, with access to 20-plus institutes of Research Excellence within a 2-mile radius.<br></p><p>The Phoenix Bioscience Core is the only place where you will find all three of Arizona’s public universities - Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Arizona - in one location advancing medical education. It is also the only location where a high school with a primary focus on the life sciences is located – Phoenix Union’s Bioscience High School. <br></p><p>On this purpose-built bio-innovation campus, companies can scale, and be collocated and collaborate with global leaders such as Abbott, Vitalant, NIH’s NIDDK, the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) (an affiliate of the City of Hope), the Dignity Health Cancer Institute, HonorHealth’s Center for Translational Science, the Phoenix VA Medical Center, Phoenix Children’s Hospital and more. </p><p>There is room to grow, connect and collaborate on the Phoenix Bioscience Core. Explore the Soft Landing Program for Connect Labs by <a href="https://www.wexfordpbc.com/" target="_blank">Wexford Science and Technology</a>, as well as new labs and space available in the 850 PBC building. Now leasing is 800 PBC, a 200,000 square-foot lab-enabled building adjacent to the 850 PBC, and coming soon is 843 PBC, which can also be build-to-suit.<br></p><p>The Phoenix Bioscience Core was started with the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) (an affiliate of the City of Hope) and the International Genomics Consortium (IGC), renowned world leaders in genomics, generating breakthrough research and information enabling the delivery of personalized, life-changing medical treatments to millions. Those two organizations have spun out more than 30 companies that continue to be leaders in their fields, further multiplying their impact on the advancement of precision medicine. <br></p></div>
