The celebrations typically originate between residents and businesses, with the support of local government and non-profits.<br></p><h3><br>Why 602?<br></h3><p> <strong></strong>Established by AT&T in 1947 as Arizona's original area code, 602 now specifically serves Phoenix after splits in 1995 and 1999 created additional codes (480, 520, 623, 928) to accommodate population growth. Despite these changes, Phoenix proudly remains the home of 602.<br></p></div>
