Kitchen on the Street and Knead Technologies Launch Groundbreaking Food Waste Management Pilot in Phoenix

This collaborative effort underscores our shared dedication to sustainability and combating food insecurity, aiming to address the pressing challenges of food waste through pioneering initiatives. Our proposed circular food system pilot will orchestrate the collection of surplus edible food and compostable waste from local farms, grocery stores, and restaurants, and cafes. By leveraging a network of dedicated volunteer delivery drivers, we ensure that rescued food reaches those in need, while food waste is directed to compost partners and redistributed, effectively closing the loop on waste. “The unique technology and circular approach from Knead combined with the partnership with Kitchen on the Street will help the City to advance our goal of diverting food waste from our landfills and decreasing food insecurity," said Rosanne Albright, Environmental Programs Manager, City of Phoenix."We are excited to partner with Knead Technologies on this vital initiative.
