Film Production in Greater Phoenix Generated $21.5M in Direct Spending in 2025https://www.investinphoenix.com/news/78Film Production in Greater Phoenix Generated $21.5M in Direct Spending in 2025<div class="ExternalClass6C85B3771C5342B0AB2BE2E31AC1D935"><p>​PHOENIX, Ariz. - Film production in the Greater Phoenix area generated $21.5 million in spending during the 2025 calendar year, as detailed in the City of Phoenix Film Office's latest <a href="/Documents/Film-Office-FY-Report_01_26-FINAL.pdf" target="_blank">Direct Spending Report</a> that was released this month. The report accounts for all aspects of film production, and includes expenditures on local goods and services.<br></p><p>Last year, the Valley was home to 906 production projects, ranging from commercials, television shows, and feature and corporate films to social media content, documentaries and still photography. Those projects resulted in 1,088 shoot days, and the work of 2,633 local crew members and 1,686 local talent. It also generated 4,138 hotel night bookings. All data is compiled from surveys sent to productions that shot in Phoenix, as well as local production companies.</p><p>"Every production that chooses Phoenix brings jobs, investment, and visibility to our great City," Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego said. "I am proud to support this thriving sector and the talented professionals who make it all possible. I look forward to seeing continued growth in Phoenix's film industry and the opportunities it brings to our residents."<br></p><p>The film industry in Phoenix is largely fueled by productions for commercials. Since 2012, the Phoenix Film Office has directly worked on 638 commercial productions, generating $65.4 million in direct spending. That dollar amount equates to nearly 50% of all production money spent during that timeframe.<br></p><p>"Our streamlined permitting process, 24/7 access, year-round sunshine and iconic landscapes continue to attract producers and directors from around the world," Phil Bradstock​, Commissioner of the Phoenix Film Office, said. "While the term 'Film Office' conjures images of movies and TV shows, Phoenix truly is a commercial production town, and the bulk of the work comes from that side of the industry and is an area for which we're continuously recruiting clients."<br></p><p>This latest direct spending report demonstrates Phoenix's thriving film community and its ability to attract top-notch productions.
